About Me
I recently completed my PhD in Management Information Systems (MIS) at Florida State University in Tallahassee, FL, and have accepted a faculty position as an Assistant Professor of Accounting at the University of Alabama at Birmingham starting August 2008. GO BLAZERS!!!!!!
I hold a Bachelor of Science (Accounting) and Master of Accounting (Accounting and Information Systems) from Florida State University, as well as several professional certifications (Certified Public Accountant, Certified Information Systems Auditor, and Certified Internal Auditor).
After graduating from FSU with my Master's, I was employed by PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) as a Senior IT Auditor and then as a Senior IT Security Consultant. While at PwC, I consulted for several Fortune 500 companies and federal government agencies on web-based security, general information security policy, and information risk assessment techniques.
After leaving PwC, I oversaw the IT Internal Audit function for a Fortune 500 broker-dealer, conducting audits on system implementations, business continuity/disaster recovery, technical infrastructure and leading the firm's IT Sarbanes-Oxley initiative.

Perhaps the biggest joy in my life is my wife, Lynn. We were married during a beach ceremony on Longboat Key, Florida, on May 7, 2006.
